Oh, la la — that’s all I can say about Blake Lively’s impeccable style at the Cannes Film Festival. This event is known to bring the glitziest personalities to France from across the planet to play, do a bit of press and watch some good flicks — though I have a feeling it’s the partying that really takes center stage.
Leave it to Serena van der woodsen to steal the show during this fete, as ALL of her red carpet appearances were flawless and often drove photographers wild. Though she doesn’t have a film to promote, she accompanied hubby Ryan Reynolds, who stars in the movie The Captive, which premiered at the festival. The blond bombshell is also one of faces of L’Oreal Paris, which is involved with the festival.
Below are my top four picks (though they are pretty much everyone else’s too), so they’ve been around the block. One of the things that amazes me about this style maven is her ability to pair all these looks together, since she doesn’t have a stylist. She’s been known to simply pick up the phone (or perhaps have one of her assistants or reps do it) and simply ask designers for a dress she’d like to wear.
I guess when you are Blake Lively, no body wants to put you on hold!

Regal in Gucci Premiere: Hello movie star! She looks DIVINE in this black and white number from the Italian powerhouse. Not pictured is Mr. Reynolds, who was wearing a gorgeous tux and the two were oh-so adorable in their match-matchy ensemble. By the way, this is a look fit for any royal and I guess it’s perfect for this star, as she is now a member of Hollywood’s fashion elite.
She’s Got Gams: I mean, she had me at bonjour. Can this Gianbattista Valli Couture frock be any more perfect. It looks like this little number was meant to be worn by Blake, and come to think about it, it probably was custom-made but wowza. Oh yeah and those strappy sandals finish off the ensemble perfectly. Instead of Blake, I think I might just start calling her ‘Legs.’
An unforgettable Entrance: According to a festival insider, this Chanel Couture dress drove photographers wild! When she stepped onto the carpet, it was as if she was the only one there and I have a slight feeling this will be a look forever talked about by fashionistas, experts and aficionados.
Hello perfection: As mentioned earlier, Legs Lively has no problem showing off one of her greatest assets a la Angelina Jolie circa 2012 Oscars, but if you got it, flaunt it. Her chair pulled back and those exquisite jewels complete a pretty much flawless look. Let’s just say the color of that dress is incredible.
