There are many beautiful across the globe, but Paris will always be my top pick. Its whimsical streets, dramatic architecture, mouth-watering pastries and of course, unforgettable fashions make the ‘City of Lights’ one of the most spectacular capitals in the world.
During my last visit in September 2010, I savored every moment just as if it was a sweet vanilla macaron. I explored streets with my family, glanced at windows and pretty much stopped and smelled the full-bloomed flowers at every garden. See, we were there at the end of summer, the weather was beginning to shift and chilly air could be felt. It was the perfect time to stroll around aimlessly, enjoy the Rodin Museum outdoor and drink a cup of ‘chocolate chaud’ at an outside patisserie. Yup, when in Paris, one must do (and dress) like Parisians, as it’s part of the experience.
There is something je ne sais quoi about the Parisian woman. She exudes confidence while strutting her stuff, always wears the right pieces, like a tailored pair of trousers, a crisp button down and stiletto heels — clean, classic and effortless. Mo wonder why I get most of my sartorial inspirations from this European gem! I mean, oh la la….
Below are some fun ‘Throwback Thursday’ pictures from an unforgettable adventure that even had me riding a bicycle near the Eiffel tower. Indeed a vacation to remember and one I often reminisce about because when it comes to France, myself and my bags are always packed and ready for takeoff.
