Yes, my beloved reader(s?), I am fully aware the SAG Awards were almost a week ago. Yes, I know that by now, all the photos, analyses and praises are in the books, and my heroine Kathy Griffin has extolled virtues and heaped praise upon her worthiest, and excoriated and criticized (in the nicest way possible, hopefully) those who did not live up to their true potential.
But, who are we kidding…it’s not exactly like you come to this site first thing post-awards to check out my picks, though damn it, I wish you did.
The result? I get a little more time to think it through and narrow down the choices, instead of shooting from the hip. I like the fact that I can take my time in posting my content — even when I had a rather difficult week as I recovered from a brutal sinus infection that I’m sure some wonderful jackass sweet, charming person brought from Disneyland.
So I am keeping this short and sweet as I give you only three picks from the glamorous SAG Awards’ red carpet. There were plenty of stunners and most of the ladies looked impeccable — but this trio of angelic women has this Jewish girl believing in a Holy Trinity.
Emma Stone in Dior Haute Couture and Christian Louboutin sandals: So glam, chic and perfect for the more playful SAG Awards. Though this is more of an editorial look, it’s refreshing to see that the stars really know that sometimes, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
Ariel Winter in Zac Posen: The ‘Modern Family’ star has become quite a dazzling young lady. This whole look truly emulates the classic beauty and elegance of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Look out Sofia Vergara, Ariel is about to take the red carpet by storm.
Lupin Nyon’go in Ellie Saab: To me, Lupita was the Belle of the Ball. This Ellie Saab ensemble is a dream, though I know it got mixed reviews on the fashion front. This red carpet darling knows a thing or two about going rogue with the trends, and I applaud her for picking such an eclectic pattern. For — The — Win.
Ryzenberg On, is Signing Off
Hilarious introduction to a very informative bit of content with a sharp eye for inner potential of the clothes and the ladies who wear them.
