RyzenbergOn — Fiestas Patrias: So for y’all that don’t know this, July 28 is Peruvian Independence Day. While most of my peeps celebrate by jetsetting around the globe (most make it to Miami and Disney World feels more like Jr. de la Union) I am paying homage to the land of ceviche and Pisco (sorry Chile, we have a town after this famous libation) in different way — by admiring how Mario Testino is indeed my Peruvian dream.
See, I know I have mentioned how amazing I think this lens maestro is, but really you’ve reached new levels of fabulosity when you are sitting next to Colombian beauty (sorry Sofia Vergara) Tatiana Santo Domingo, (yes, for y’all that follow the business pages she is of the Santo Domingo beverage empire) Charlotte Casiraghi (can someone say GRIMALDI?!?!?!) and Dakota’s pint-size sis Ellie Fanning!
This chic quartet sat together at the latest Chanel show in Paris (only Lagerfeld can unite such powerful foursome in this front row) and I feel proud to see that Peruvians are making it in the world of fashion.
Mario schmoozes with the hotest celebs, models, designers and artists — now if he could only run for president and live in Palacio de Gobierno, fix the debt, increase investment and make Peru a force to be reckoned with! (I mean come on, Brazil has Giselle Bundchen, Fernanda Mota, Alessandra Ambrosio and many more Argentina and has Valeria Mazza — what do these bevy of beauties have in common: All photographed by Testino at one point in their careers!)
I guess that’s what Utopia would be like if written RyzenbergOn style (and Sir Thomas More would roll out of his grave!)
