As Valentine’s Day fast approaches, I often think of the same thing — why should only one of the year represent love and romance? So for this romantic holiday, I decided to dig my closet and find a few of my favorite things! I am a lingerie fanatic, as for me beauty always comes from inside. Remember the Journelle local gem from 2013, well that’s still resonates with me.
As for chocolates, there is always room for something sweet — even in the strictest of diets! Though I can eat a box of in no time, sometime just a small piece will satisfy my sweet tooth. As for flowers, some red roses add the perfect tough and though there are others that I love like stargazers, tulips and hydrangeas, there is sometime magical about the smell of this fragrant flower.
Some candles, lotion and red lipstick and you’ve got yourself the makings of romance no matter where you are.
Always remember, everyday should be Valentine’s Day. I spent plenty as party of one and it was OK, since it’s also a time to celebrate friendships and loved ones. Just remember this a fun time of the year that shouldn’t be taken too seriously — after all, those same candies will be around for Easter, summer, Halloween and beyond!
