Seven Tantalizing Twosomes Spotted at the Met Gala

Though the Met Gala fashions were indeed dissected ad infinitum on social media, TV and of course the Interwebs, (I know, I know I am a bit tardy to this party) there is always a priceless allure when  a couple makes a grand entrance, and these stunners sure left a mark.

This year’s theme was ‘white tie, gowns and decorations,’ which paid homage to 20th century designer Charles James. As expected, the fete was filled with exquisite styles, celebrities, models and A-listers strutting their stuff for photographers and insiders. But as the saying says, ‘the best things sure come in pairs!’

Below are my lucky seven picks of sartorially and genetically gifted twosomes that not only stole my heart, but gave me a sense of relief that chivalry and romanticism still abounds in today’s world.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively in Gucci: These two make me melt, especially the way Ryan glances at his lady. This couple is glamorous, yet down-to-earth and they pretty much stole everyone’s heart.

David and Victoria Beckham in her namesake label: Posh and Becks always score high on my book, as they often look amazing together and have beautiful offsprings running around. But hands down, the best part of this photo (aside from Victoria’s diamond chandelier earrings) is Mr. Beckham’s smirk, as it’s as sexy as this man really gets.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen in Balenciaga: This is the MVP couple of the ‘Super Bowl’ of fashion. These two always steal the show and Mr. Brady always goes gaga for his gal. Also, love the endless display of PDA, but I guess if you were either coupled up with Tom or Gisele, you’d be doing the same — right?

Jay Z and Beyonce in Givenchy: Enough said. It’s Beyonce and as the globe (I mean universe) knows, this lady does no wrongs. Pair it up with Mr. Carter and you’ve got one pair ready to run the world.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in Thakoon: These two love birds are adorbs on and off the screen and this color-blocking Thakoon number is simply stunning in Ms. Stone. I’m so happy to this trend sticking around as there is nothing more fun for summer than bold color combinations.

PS: Did anyone else notice Andrew’s cute mischievous face? I wonder what he’s thinking….

Sean Penn and Charlize Theron in Dior: So, I’ve come to accept that Sean Penn and Madonna are never reuniting romantically, but alas, this suffices. This couple ooozes old Hollywood glam; I mean, both of these thespians are Academy Award winners, so it’s just rather serendipitous that they end up together. And I love it!

Bonus: Ms. Theron’s Fred Leighton ear cuff and stack is kind of out-of-this world amazing…I want it all.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen in Ralph Lauren: Oh. My G-d! These two are hands down one of my favorite couples roaming around. She is not only beautiful, but rather hilarious and he is, of course, an amazing crooner. Together, I know they are going to make beautiful babies together and can’t wait to see it all occur.

So now let’s dish — who were the belles our beaus of the ball in your eyes? There wre so many incredible fashions to discuss, I may have to do another post soon — considering Karolina Kurkova, Rachel McAdams, RiRi and SJP left many gasping and dreaming with those gowns.
