LoFlowers are usually the preferred print for spring, but this season, they are extending their welcome and jumping into the fall trends. Though I tend to wear these prints year-round, there are some fantastic combinations that won’t make them boring or even overdone come the leaves and chills.
The key to success is of course pairing them with rich colors like oranges, purples and dark pinks. If you don’t feel wearing florals head-to-toe, just add a scarf, some jewels or even shoes to accentuate a monochromatic look.
Below are some of my favorite transitional florals perfect for the last summer days and fall:
1. Erdem Carmen floral cashmere sweater: Though this Erdem number is a bit of a splurge, it is perfect with leather shorts or even denim. Nice for the nice out, though still light since it has chiffon. Don’t want to break the bank? No worries, go for this version from ASOS.
2. GIRL by BAND OF OUTSIDERS floral dress: Sweet, girly and with a 1990s touch, this dress is the perfect office piece or even date night staple. Want to edge it up a notch? Add a moto jacket and even some fringe booties.
3. MARC BY MARC JACOBS Marie tulip skirt: Another great piece that is 9-to-5 friendly and perfect for an after-hours affair. You can even give this little number a bit of a retro feel by pairing it with a crop top and denim jacket! This look will have heads turning in no time.
4. Loeffler Randall Dahlia sandals: These stilettos sure are sexy and very nice for a night on the town. Though these might be better off for the weekend, remember to keep the fashions tame, since the sandals will sure steal the spotlight. What’s even better it’s that’s on sale!
5. Diane Von Furstenberg floral shopper: This is a perfect bag to run errands, as it is made of neoprene and is the perfect size to stuff it up.
6. Kenzo red floral letter print scarf: This is a timeless print and love the bold colors. It is the simple scarf that adds sassiness.
7. BaubleBar flower collar: Oh so elegant and divine. Perfect with jeans, blazer and a simple white top. The best part is of course how affordable it is — I mean under $50! Enough said.
Fan of the flowers? How will you be sporting them come fall?
