If you are looking for fun, light and breezy fashions — you must check one of my latest finds, La Bomba. The line, inspired by European bombshells of the 1950s and 1960s like Sofia Loren and Brigitte Bardot, embodies a sense of style that is effortless, fun and vibrant.
No passport is needed for this fashion journey as with these clothes, you will create your own ‘Dolce Vita.’ The pieces are je ne sais quoi and chic — men will love the clean lines and sexiness, while the ladies will feel like goddesses.
This past weekend, I tagged along with the mastermind behind all this — Lara Ritch for a little adventure literally and sartorially speaking. We packed her SUV and headed to St. Helena for her first trunk show, which took place at one of my favorite local gems in Wine Country, Pearl boutique.
The clothes are fun, timeless, fresh and perfect for any occasion and I MEAN IT. Need a cocktail dress? Go with their long flowing gowns like the Fontelina which comes in Moroccan blue, Casablanca purple and Falcon. Their Como tunic is perfect for sunset drinks and a casual dinner by the water. Pair it up with fun jewels and gladiators and this is a look that can easily go from day-to-night.
What’s best about this emerging line is that it is all made in California by a team of creatives, local businesses and manufacturers. Lara, who was born in South Africa, raised in Australia and now calls the Golden State home, is involved with every little detail like the sourcing, execution and even creating custom-made Italian buckles. When it comes to execution, this fashionista is 100 percent hands-on.
I had a blast with the gals at Pearl. The afternoon turned out to be electric and was buzzing with tourists and locals who sipped on wine and enjoyed some tasty treats. The best part was seeing them all strut their style in incredible fashions. In all, it was a magical afternoon.
This place is simply a magnificent treasure in the heart of Napa Valley.
The wonderful Pearl gals with designer Lara Ritch and all wearing her creations!
Love the playful vibe La Bomba gives. Who doesn’t want to don their best in these styles?
The glamorous Fontelina dress is perfect with heels and jewels, or sandals and a straw bag!
Just a glimpse of what the latest collection has to offer.
You can wear the Como tunic as a bathing suit cover-up or with jeans or light pants. You can even transition this piece into fall by pairing it with a leather or denim jacket, tights and riding boots!
