We are all itching to go on vacay now that the temperatures and rising and adventures itches. So to celebrate my birthday earlier this month, I embarked on a journey to the Southern California desert with my gal pal and parter-in-crime, Sarica.
A few weekends ago, we packed the car and headed to Palm Springs for some good ol’ fun in the sun surrounded by gorgeous Mid-Century architecture, fantastic vintage finds and one of my favorite hotels — The Parker Palm Springs.
This magnificent place, which used to be Gene Autry’s estate, is one of Palm Spring’s hippest jaunts and it never disappoints with its quirky designs, playful vibe and incredible service. This entire place is the brainchild of design guru Jonathan Adler, and it is pretty much felt on every corner — from its incredible use of color to extreme attention to detail and retro vibes.
My place to lounge around in this desert oasis is certainly the pool. It’s surrounded by amazing palm trees and feels more like a home than a hotel. It gives an intimate vibe, as it’s decked out in fantastic patio garbs that have me dreaming of the perfect backyard.
Want to enjoy an unforgettable meal? Be sure to stop by Norma’s for brunch and indulge yourself with some of their signature waffle dishes and scrumptious benedict creations.
Rest assured, The Parker will make your getaway an unforgettable affair and believe me, you’ll want to come back for seconds, thirds or even fourths!
Stay tuned for more of my Palm Springs picks, as all of this week I am bringing you my favorite desert gems.
