The Golden Globes have come & gone, and it was a quite a ride on the carpet. It was filled with pastels, reds, blushes, winter whites and my favorite this time (really?!?!) BLACK!
The reason why I am quite delighted with this trend is how designers opted to go for a little bit of peek-a-boo skin, making this even more sexier than it already was!
Some of my favorites include black ensembles:
Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen: Sarah Burton never disappoints, and although many feel the neck part is a bit too much, I feel it is elegant and bold. The plunging neckline is divine.
Julianne Moore in Tom Ford: You know you’ve hit it big when all you have to do is send an e-mail to Tom simply asking for a gown and penning it Julie! Seriously, it is hard to believe this gal is in her (yup, you guessed it) 50s!
Katherine McPhee in Theyskens’ Theory: Skin is in, and although this is a more riske look for the American Idol runner-up, it still looks classic and very awards appropriate.
Kristen Wiig in Michael Kors: Simple and sexy. Love the gold accents and the hair suits the look perfectly.
Rosie-Huntington Whiteley in Saint Laurent Paris: She is indeed a sex bomb, and even though the leg showing is very 2012 Angelina at the Oscars, I like the leather belt, red lips and simple accessories. Bare minimal, but perfection.
