Ryzenberg On: Music Festival Fashions

As the temperature heats, so do the outdoor activities and one of the most popular music festivals is just around the corner — Coachella!

Once the lineup was announced a few months ago, tickets sold out within minutes (for both weekends) and I missed on my chance to see my all-time faves Radiohead, Bon Iver, Florence + the Machine and many other musical masterpieces.

But just as important as the acts, are the outfit choices. Although A-listers and fashionistas flock to these festivities, the desert gets hot and the right attire and accoutrements are indeed needed (hello sunscreen) so here is a checklist of a few bare necessities needed to survive one of the 2012’s most popular events:

Haute Hippie Racer Back Maxi Dress — www.netaporter.com

Michael Kors Raffia & Leather Backpack — www.netaporter.com

Mulberry Bayswater Flat Sandals — www.mulberry.com

ALEX AND CHLOE All My Heart Studs — www.alexandchloe.com

Dries Van Noten by Linda Farrow Printed Sunglasses — www.lagarconne.com

Rag & Bone Oversized V-Neck Tee — www.lagarconne.com

J BRAND Cutoffs in Tangerine — www.ottenyc.com

Crochet Floppy Hat — www.wetseal.com

Heart Heart Heart Printed Scarf — www.openingceremony.us

Pull and Bear Charmed Bracelets (pack of 15) — www.pullandbear.com

Philosophy ‘Here Comes the Sun’ SPF 30 Sunscreen — www.nordstrom.com

All Saints Vintage Lace Up Boot — www.allsaints.com

Also, remember that some of these items can be used at Bonaroo, Outside Lands (remember — layering up is KEY as Golden Gate Park gets chilly) and many other festivals worldwide.

Enjoy and for those of use indulging in some heavy partying in Palm Springs, say hello to my therapist (although he doesn’t know it) Thom Yorke! In my world, everything is a little bit better with a Radiohead dosage!
