Ms. Ryzenberg Goes to Washington

Oh, I got a case of the Mondays! These past 10 days consisted of planes, no trains, automobiles, little sleep and lots of fantastic memories.

I was in the nation’s capital for a political conference (yup, believe it — the other hobby) and sneaked out one afternoon to visit some of my favorite landmarks.

I spent my first day wandering the streets of DC and I even made time to visit the Newseum — which brought back many fond memories of the newsroom days.

Some of my favorite snapshots:

The Capitol: If only those walls could talk and I’ve been lucky to walk around the halls and tunnels. It is an incredible building, despite sequestering, filibusters and lots of arguing (again, could be compared to my love life!)

Color overload: It was cold, gloomy and gray, so I was bound to be noticed in neon.

Jeans: J Brand | Coat and Shirt: J.Crew | Bag: Reed Krakoff | Scarf: Gap

Bench Highlight: Bag and Scarf taking a break!

Ronald Reagan, The Ayatolah and Charles & Diana: Just a few of my favorite 1980s headlines from the Newseum!
