Ryzenberg On: Lucky LA Lady
This past weekend was filled with sun, friends, Disneyland and a fashion bloggers conference better known as Lucky FABB. Normally held in New York, Lucky editors took the show on the road and chose Santa Monica for their latest blogger gathering. What made it even better — it was right on the beach!
Aside from beautiful scenery and killer fashions, the affair consisted of inspiring guests, lots of insight and motivation to keep the creative juices flowing. Most importantly, I was surrounded by a group of very talented bloggers from around the country and lucky enough to consider some of them my friends.
Lucky Editor-in-Chief Brandon Holley opened up the event and encouraged us to keep our visions going because, as she said it, she wants us all [fashion bloggers] to quit our day jobs. With that being said, the workshop focused on everything to how Hollywood influences blogs to monetizing and how to make your blog stand out and understanding how to work with companies and sponsors.
Tech savvy celebrities, fashion mavens and many of my favorite bloggers took the podium to share their paths to success. Some of the guest included the gals of Who What Wear, Aimee Song from Song of Style, Geri Hirsch of Because I’m Addicted, TV personality Jeanie Mai, fashion designer Zac Posen and actresses Jessica Alba, Soleil Moon Frye and Elizabeth Banks.
As expected, style was in abundance ranging from California cool colorful ensembles to fantastic bags and every type of footwear and bag imaginable. But one of the highlights had to be all of the style suites and different products we got to check out. The House of Zappos was perfect for any fashionista (Imagine Barbie’s Dream House but for adults) and L’Sportac, Miss Me, Procter and Gamble, Tacori, Michael Stars and Jelly Shoes all had great products and even some to take home.
Can’t wait for Sept. Lucky FABB in NYC! This was a nice spring treat but I am ready to take a bite out of Lucky in the Big Apple.
