Ryzenberg On: Keeping It Real

We are about to fall into cooler temperatures, but before the air becomes crisp and the leaves turn orange, one thing sure makes a midsummer splash: Fall fashion campaigns.

Leather, color blocking and patterns will dominate the streets in the upcoming months, but one designer (once gain) has tickled my fancy as Lanvin unveiled his Fall/Winter 2013 masterpieces.

But if you think it was models or actors striking a pose, think again. Alber decided to go for the ordinary and used civilians, including an octogenarian who donned his designs with full glamour.

The ads, shot by Steven Meisel, feel more like un film de Almodovar, with its use of interesting color contracts, strong facial features and unique looks, but one thing is indeed the essence of the brand — its ability to stand out and not only sell clothes, but a lifestyle.

Can’t wait to see the entire collection, as I am sure it will be delighful!
