Ryzenberg On: Hola Tangerine Tango

Drumroll por favor….The color of the year for 2012 is Tangerine Tango. Muchas gracias PANTONE.

This sultry shade of orange sure brings a splash of life to any outfit. Needless to say, yours truly will be sporting it more than once and I plan on creating memorable ensembles and combinations. BTW, my alma mater’s mascot is the orange, so it’s very fitting to pay homage to this special shade.

Orange has become quite popular in the past few years. In fact, it made apperances on several S/S 2012 runway collections including Nanette Lepore, Cynthia Steffe and Elie Tahari. It’s very sultry and exotic and it actually works well with many skin tones. Can’t wait to see it pop up on nail polishes, eye shadows and blushes. 

I became obsessed with PANTONE and its colors recently. I learned about the whole process in college, but have lately been drawn to its color selection, naming and of course products — they have the cutest mugs, iPhone cases and even an amazing espresso cup set. (A must for any wish list)

So there you have it, when it comes to colors, I guess it doesn’t take two to tango! Besides, who could ever resist a color with a name that includes one of the sexiest (and hardest to learn) dances? I mean, Just saying.
