After a bit of pondering, I took the plunge and went to LuckyFABB in Los Angeles for the second year in a row. This time, the beauty and fashion blogger conference migrated to Beverly Hills and featured quite the roster of speakers, brands and panelists.
Throughout the whole month, I will share some of my experiences from this networking extravaganza, but for now I leave you with some highlights from day No. 1.
Day One Sartorialisms: Shirt: Equipment | Pants: Zara (from last spring) | Shoes: Nine West | Necklace: Zara (recent) | Bag: Reed Krakoff | Scarf: Hermes
Osbourne On style, fashion and life: Ms. Kelly O chatted with Lucky Editor-in-Chief Brandon Holley about her life, fashion and how a good blazer, bag and pair of shoes make all of the difference — “Do it for yourself and nothing else.”
Jacket: Karl Lagerfeld (Like Brandon said, the Kaiser) | Skirt and Shirt: Zara | Shoes: Stella McCartney
Meeting Eva Chen: I chatted with the mega social media influencer and former Teen Vogue Beauty Director about blogs, how her hair is growing and of course stacks! Check out her luckyFABB masterpiece on my Instagram.
The bloggers doing their things: I spy Crushing on Clothes and Mollie in Seattle — just a few of my new gal pals from the Pacific Northwest.
One sweet photo op: Cupcakes and Cashmere author Emily Schuman and Lucky EIC Brandon Holley pose for a quick photo! Brandon remembered me from last year and we caught up for a bit.
Is an introduction needed? Drew Barrymore, mom, actress, producer, vitner, empresario and all-around cool girl shares her life, what keeps her going and candidly expresses how one needs to take risks and make choices.
Shirt: Splendid | Pants: H&M
Oh Betsey: Fashion icon (and of course, Syracuse alum) Betsey Johnson reminisces with Lori Bergamotto about 50 years in the business and her upcoming reality show on the Style Network.
Cocktails with the Winner: Marie Denae of The Curvy Fashionista won Lucky Magazine’s blogger contest and will be reporting from New York Fashion Week in September!
Lori was the sweetest. For some odd reason, I thought she too went to SU (it turns out she doesn’t) but we still talked about how she is an inspiration to all girls around.
Flower It: Drew Barrymore’s new venture, Flower Beauty is on display! Sold exclusively at Walmart nationwide.
The Belle of the Ball: Drew and I chatted about makeup, life and of course, boys. I told her that I had in fact, been snubbed away in many forms of technology (just like she was on the flick ‘He is not that Into You.’
These are just some quick snapshots, but be sure to come back to read my entire Betsy encounter, some fantastic friends I made along the way and of course all of the goodies!
