Fashion’s Night Out has become quite an event worldwide. What started out three years ago as a campaign the night before New York Fashion Week to lure shoppers to come out, check out special vignettes and entice shopping during the recession, has transformed into a fashion fete in most of the trendiest metropolises.
Celebs take part, champagne and cupcakes flow in abundance and cash registers make the sound of caching! (Heck, Chanel usually launches a sought-after nail polish collection that usually sells out within days) And we owe it all to Anna Wintour who conceptualized this idea and made it a phenomenal way to start Fashion Month (New York, London, Milan and Paris)
