Ryzenberg On: Delightfully Diptyque

If you want your home to smell like a garden filled with flowers, say ‘bonjour’ to Diptyque candles. Sure they are a bit pricey, but the smell is divine and well worth every penny.

I have the Baies candle and love it! The aroma is decadent, leaving rooms smelling fresh for hours. This Parisian brand is chic, very coveted by celebrities and I understand why it has a cult following.

A few of my other favorite scents include Gardenia, (you’ll feel like you are in Polynesia) Roses, Jasmin and Figuier.

Recently during a trip to NYC, I found out they also have a personal care line of perfumes, lotions, and body washes. I tried on their Do Son perfume and everywhere I went, someone made a remark about my scent. It felt light and airy, not the kind of perfume that leaves you sticky or stinky — pure perfection.

Feeling sultry? Their body oils are sure to spice up any romantic evening.

Their flagship store is in the trendy Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris, and the boutique is tucked in a corner, just like a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered. Lucky for me that I don’t have to cross the pond, since San Francisco also has a store, but the line is available at Bloomingdales, Barneys, Fred Segal in Los Angeles and at some high end boutiques.

So if you are looking for a special gift this holiday season, look no further. It’s sure to make a lasting impression and you’ll win brownie points for picking such a luxurious present that smells like a million bucks (well and costs close to it to!) Besides, no one wants another ugly sweater, oven mitt or fruit cake.

And hey, once you are done burning the candle, there are many uses for the cute container…look at what blogger Emily Schuman from Cupcakes & Cashmere did! Isn’t it lovely?

I must say the brains behind this brand sure are familiar with the sweet smell of success!
