Ryzenberg On: Coveting the Coveteur

I’ve self-proclaimed this week: Ryzenberg On Loves Canada. This is my way to paying homage to my neighbors to the north and it turns out they certainly know how to kick it up a notch when it comes to fashion and style.

We begin the week with one of my personal websites, the COVETEUR. The brains behind this beautiful site are designer Erin Kleinberg and stylist Stephanie Mark. These gals have created a different concept when it comes to showcasing some of fashion elite’s most sought-after closets.

Among those featured on the site include design guru Jonathan Adler and longtime partner, Barney’s NYC Creative Director Simon Doonan, uber trend setter Lauren Santo Domingo, handbag desinger Rebecca Minkoff — and of course, that’s just naming a few.

What I like about the COVETEUR is the minimalist contrast paired up with suck luxurious items. I’ve been reading the site pretty much since it was born earlier this year and I must say I’ve seen everything from gorgeous vintage Chanel purses, Balenciaga ball gowns, amazing jewelry — all combined with the most beautiful settings, flower arrangements and color scheme.

It’s amazing the amount of detail Kleinberg and Mark put on each closet, with the descriptions and the items — it all flows flawlessly and organically. Jake Rosenberg is behind the photography and when looking, it really does feel like a museum exhibit!

In fact, some of those photos should go on sale, considering it would be amazing wall candy for any room ready to make a splash.

Another special thing the COVETEUR has started to do is showcase different work spaces. I was amazed (and jealous) of the amount of shoes there are at the Rachel Zoe studio, and loved to see where all the magic happens for Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power — best selling authors and creators of my other go-to required site — Who What Wear.

So if strapped for cash and can’t go shopping, or just simply looking to take a peek at some of the most desirable closets worldwide — look no further than the COVETEUR.

Tomorrow, another amazing import from the land of hockey, maple leaves and Brad Goreski will be featured!
