Preparing for the ‘June Gloom’ and Bringing the 1990s Back

This is hands down one of my favorite looks — it is fun, simple and casual, yet edgy and colorful. Cardigans are a must for any season, since you never know when it will be windy or when the air conditioner will be at an all-time high! I got this one a few years ago on net-a-porter and has been with me through thick and thin — always, of course keeping me warm.

As for flannels, it is one of the funnest fabrics and really like the pop of color on this one. In fact, I switched to booties for the night and wore this entire ensemble to a bar. That’s the beauty of San Francisco, it’s kind of an ‘anything goes’ kind of city, as long as you wear it right and own it.

Converse? Who doesn’t or hasn’t owned a pair? This is my sixth pair in 20 years and believe me, they’ve been worn until holes appear and I am pulled away from them. Can’t wait to see where I take these little beauties.

PS: As the ripe age of 33 (34 next week to be exact), I still sport sartorialisms similar to those of 1993. Now if only I could turn back time and go back to my days of Nirvana, algebra homework and crushes!!! OK, perhaps the third one is still going strong, but I must say when it comes to the 1990s, the fashions are too legit to quit!

And speaking of Net-a-Porter, they are having their half yearly sale, so be sure to snag some goodies before they are all gone!
