While in New York last month, I was lucky enough to work with the talented Lydia Hudgens for an afternoon in the West Village filled with fun adventures, sartorialisms and fresh juice.
Though I have dubbed this the ‘blogger skort,’ because so many of us ran to the registers to get one, it is nice to see how different we have all styled it. In all honesty, this is a perfect summer addition, since it works well dressed up or casual with flip flops.
Dress it up with a blouse (like me here) or even wear it with chucks (check out yours truly on Instagram) for a fun way to get more bang for your ensemble ideas.
As for a fall transition, tights will do the trick. Pair it up with booties and a nice knit and you are set for cooler pastures.
Kids, this may be as girly as I get and most of these pieces are easy to find. I found the sandals, blouse and sunnies on sale and the Chanel wonder was a gift from a few years back.
The key to sartorialism success? Combine timeless, effortless pieces with trendier pieces that don’t break the bank!
