I few weeks ago, I spent a Friday afternoon at Old Navy as I was asked to host their seasonal blogger event to celebrate summer styles. Myself, along with Courtney of The Curious Commuter and Nina from Le Fancy Geek dressed a few mannequins, gave stying tips and mingled with sales associates and shoppers.
Though I took BART, since the Old Navy is in the Tri-Valley city of Dublin, I had a wonderful time creating some fun sartorialisms that mixed plenty of prints, and evoke that all-American style that is practical yet spot-on for for those Northern California microclimates.
A big thanks to Vivian Mueller and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcome and inviting us to their location. Since I started my retailing career at the Gap in the late 1990s, it was easy to go back to my greeting and customer service days, as I still love the whole industry and putting together ensembles with a smile.
Look forward to visiting you all again and who knows, I might even walk out with a few goodies of my own. Their tees are phenomenal layering pieces and their dresses are very versatile for the transitional months. So far what’s out for the fall is rather delightful, so I have a feeling I will be making a few more stops for some necessary pieces.

Emily from Sparkle Meets Pop even paid a visit while in the neighborhood. Always a treat to chat with a fellow blogger.
