While strolling on Melrose Street during last fall’s Los Angeles visit, my friend Sarica and I ‘stumbled’ upon this gem of a boutique and of course, we went in. What started as a simple ‘just browsing’ moment quickly turned into a full-on shopping extravaganza as Sarica picked a few soft sweaters, including this houndstooth beauty, while I decided to go big and got the Dalton booties.
I had been jonesing after these for quite some time, and since the gals were so divine and friendly, I simply couldn’t resist. It was a bit of a splurge and a whim, but since the big buy, I’ve already sported them a few times (check here and here) and they go with everything — from casual jeans or their Mariner pants and a top, to even a more formal affair with a dress and tights.
But this store is not all about footwear — the brand is actually known for their soft silks, effortless casual styles and gorgeous tops. They were normally available at department stores, but in the past year, the brand has quickly expanded to boutiques. The one in San Francisco is fantastic, as it is my go-to spot when I am home and on Fillmore Street.
Each of their sections is intricately separated by colors, so you can’t really miss it and overall, the ambiance feels like a giant closet, one you wish you had and that’s most likely immortalized on your Pinterest boards. As for me, I always fee like I am on vacation, since they often have vibrant colors, gorgeous tunics and the perfect tote for jet setting.
If you are in Southern California, New York, Connecticut or the Bay Area, be sure to stop at the boutique. Now that I am in Los Angeles for the next few days, I know I’ll be making a cameo to say hello to the gals and peruse around. I am pretty sure it will be tough to walk out empty-handed — but I am sure Sarica and I will find a thing or two to fancy.
