Doing some spring cleaning and need some inspiration for the pad? I am pretty certain Hemingway and Pickett will have something for everyone. I stumbled this cute boutique in LA’s Silver Lake during one of my many visits, but it’s indeed a magical place filled with quirky gadgets, fun prints, lots of color and Etsy-like brands.
I spent a pretty good chunk of my morning perusing their cards, checking out their candles and admiring their art. Though it was hard, I managed to walk out empty handed, but rest assured I’ll be dropping some cash on some fun goodies for the Alamo Square Pad. I mean, their golden skull might just be the perfect coffee table addition and their kitchenwares make even the most undomesticated species (of course, I am referring to moi) want to embark in some culinary adventures.
The Aussie owners sure have a keen eye for details and great style. It’s a perfect gift shop without all the cheesyness and hokey tchotchkes. It’s rather obvious these pieces are well-thought, curated and have a purpose — as the entire store flows pretty beautifully throughout every vignette.
Though there is one one brick-and-mortar shop, their e-commerce site is super easy to shop and offers pretty much everything from the store. Plus, they have a killer blog, Twitter and Facebook page, so be sure to check it out.
