Falling Styles and Endless Summer Prints

You the end of summer is upon us, and it’s time to start dressing the part (snif, snif). A few weeks ago, I created a Polyvore set based on late Summer florals and it’s more than fitting to start busting out some of the pieces.

Since I live in San Francisco and our Indian Summer is just around the corner, below are some of my favorite late season looks that I will be sporting from now until November.

Dark prints, jewel tones and leather are going to be quite a hit during the fall, so start setting the trends now!

Photo No. 1: Those printed pants, plus a blazer and sexy heels only means end of the season chicness. This is the perfect look for work that also works well for those happy hour cocktails.

Photo No. 2: Stylist Natalie Joos ALWAYS gets it right. This dress has a fun boho vibe and the long sleeves make it a fantastic transitional piece and love the print mix going. Plus her smile is simply radiant.

Photo No. 3: It’s the never ending dilemma — white jeans after Labor Day. Is that a ‘yay’ or ‘nay’? For me is a HECK yay, as white is the perfect color to combine with heavy knits, scarves and deep greens. This rule is rather archaic and white jeans are a hit in the cooler months. Combine it with chambray and stripes (like in the picture) and you’ll sure elevate this ensemble to a whole new level of style.

Photo No. 4: Leather and florals? Yes, please. Like white jeans, florals should not be limited to the warmer months and with leather they are winning combo. I also love the white oversized clutch, adding a bit of warmth and a timeless feel.

Photo No. 5: Forget butterflies in your stomach, this season is all about putting this whimsical creatures on print! This skirt sure is delightful and what I love about this whole look is how effortlessly put together it is combined with a nice knit for a top. This is very elegant and classic and what’s even better is that when the temperatures drop, you can wear it with tights, booties and a leather jacket and it’ll still be dynamite.

How will you be rocking print and colors in the fall? My combinations will also be showcased in a few upcoming sartoriliams that you won’t want to miss.
