Four Street Style Sartorialisms Fit For Fall

This month, fashionistas traveled the globe to see the creations from the world’s most prestigious designers come alive. I must say, what’s in stock for spring is certainly chic, creative and will satisfy every woman’s style craving.

Now let’s go over some of the major runway trends that stood out: New York showed a variety of styles from  Oscar de la Renta’s gorgeous ladylike gowns filled with flowers to Reem Acra bringing the 1970s back to the spotlight. London, as expected, had the tailoring down to a tee and fantastic pieces like the Burbery Prorsum pencil skirts and shirts that will sure make any woman melt.

Milan was all about textures, structures and deep colors. I was mesmerized with Max Mara’s beautiful cashmere pieces and Pucci’s sexy dresses. Paris sent pieces that will be remembered for years, such as the Givenchy metallic gowns, Balmain’s houndstooth and of course Dries Van Noten’s phenomenal prints.

But aside from the stars that tirelessly strut around the catwalk in divine designs, sometimes it’s the street style that steals the prize. And the best part? No need to wait for the temperatures to go up, as these are indeed fit for fall!

Grab your passports, because I am going to take you on a worldwide journey to check out what some of the world’s sartorially gifted are wearing these days.

New York: Mastering The Moto Jacket

If you are thinking of getting some outerwear for the cooler months, go with this motorcycle type of jacket. It is, fun edgy and there are a variety of colors and textures to pick from. Check this one under $300 from Club Monaco — as it won’t break the bank and will sure leave you shining from head to toe!

London: Three Times a Ladylike Silhouette

Pencil skirts are a must for the working gal! These staples are flattering and feminine while keeping a level of sophistication going. I’ve been a fan for years and every so-often I add a new style or color to the rotation. ZaraGap and Halston Heritage have fantastic styles that are very affordable.

Milan: Let’s get it from the boys

Fall is always the time to steal from the boy. There is nothing sexier than walking around on a lazy sunday with one of his striped shirts or in my case, an old tee-shirt. But if you want to take this trend for a spin, button-ups and plaid are the way to go. Always remember if you are buying clothes from the opposite sex, make sure to try them on beforehand — sizes tend to be different and you may have to go down with some brands.

Paris: Pair It Up With Leather

A great timeless style that’s perfect for every age. If you don’t feel the look from top to bottom, just balance it out with denim, cotton or cashmere. Some great alternatives include this skirt from Alice + Olivia and some great patched faux leather shirts from Macy’s.

You’ll see many of these sartorialisms back on the dog-and-pony show, so stay tuned!
