Though I haven’t been home a lot of these past few weeks, I still felt the need to share some of fall home sartorialisms. Luckily, I’ve had some time to keep it tidy, add some colors and even share a few of the goodies I received from NYC’s Lucky FABB.
I spent most of yesterday home catching up on e-mails, doing my usual work and packing and unpacking. Below are a few seasonal favorites that can be found around my beloved Alamo Square Pad.
When it comes to my home, it is truly where the heart is!
Plaid is Fab: This Paige Denim Kadie plaid shirt I received at Lucky FABB is divine. It works as a shirt and as a coat, considering how big it is, and clearly reminds me of my 1990s grunge days. This sartorialism is sure to be a repeat offender this fall and winter.
Fall Flowers FTW: A couple of weeks ago, I went to Off the Grid in the Presidio and bought flowers from a kiosk called Home Sweet Flowers. Not only were the gals friendly, they also called me when I forgot my bouquet at the end of the day. They dropped off the flowers at my home the next day, cheering up my little studio apartment for 10 days.
Pumpkin Touches: Gourds and Pumpkins are my favorite fall pieces, so I had to add them to my coffee table display. The golden cone is from Nate Berkus’ Target line from a few years ago, and it actually works great year-round.
Reading Time: This book is a great coffee table addition and great to glance at when I am bored. The oversize glasses are a perfect addition, considering the size of this tome! This whole corner feels very ‘Alice in Wonderland.’
Loafin’ Around: Not only are this G.H. Bass Weejuns a classic shoe, they are also versatile, comfortable and good from the work day to a happy hour. Since I do a lot of walking, mine are quite worn out, but that only adds to its character. And by the way, I used to wear the same shoes (different size) back in 1990, so I am happy this whole decade is making a fashion comeback.
Stack it Up for Fall: Who doesn’t want a little bit of sparkle? The Kendra Phillip mini cuffs combined with my Giles & Brother Railroad Cuff and my Charming Charlie studded bangle add a bit of fun to any arm.
How are you falling for style this season?
