Dubrovnik’s Charm & Medieval Architecture is One Dalmatian Delight

When I heard Croatia was one of our cruise stops, I was elated. For years, I’ve heard of its incredible blue waters, charming stone paved streets and fantastic beaches. I must say that Dubrovnik was all that — and a lot more.

We spent the afternoon walking around the old town and we visited Pila Square with its fountain, stores and lovely cafes. After getting lost in a few of their side streets, we stopped for some gelato, since it was a scorching day. This city is like a jewelry box — there is pretty much something that sparkles everywhere you set your eyes to.

Afterwards, we decided to explore around and walked the old fortress, which its views were simply magical. The color combination of the sky, water and red roofs made it an afternoon to remember.

Everyone is this city is delightful, friendly and so courteous. It’s amazing to see how after many years of tumultuous wars and unrest — this country has overcome its obstacles and become one of the world prime destinations — full of natural wonders, incredible architecture and endless history. I have NO DOUBT I’ll be back many times to experience its cuisine, get a feel of their culture and explore all of its surprises.

One afternoon was simply not enough!
