The Brains Behind Ryzenberg On
I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, before my family moved to Florida in the early 1990s. After college (Syracuse University – go Orange!) I landed a job as a segment producer in Miami and three years later, with many lifestyle stories under my belt, the Golden State came calling. A decade, two big cities, and one fiancé later, I’m still here and there is never a dull moment!
I created Ryzenberg On during a difficult time in my life. My nearly 9-year journalism career came to an end, and I was reeling over a painful breakup while living in San Francisco. Affectionately referred to as my ‘dog-and-pony show,’ this quirky blog keeps my creative juices flowing, and I enjoy covering a variety of subjects ranging from personal style to home decor, from travel to daily discoveries. I am currently based in Los Angeles, after seven magnificent years (and two World Series!) in the City by the Bay.
Signature Style
I am a boyfriend jeans, tee, and loafers kind of gal. Though, often times, I do appreciate a nice pair of heels and sexy dress.
Nesting Mode
When it comes to the home, the key to my heart is a stylish bar cart, killer wall art, cozy colorful pillows, and lots of fresh flowers.
LA Weekend Musts
The Venice Canals are my go-to place for inspiration. Other favorites include DTLA’s Arts District, Reformation in Melrose, Commissary at the Line Hotel, and Beachwood Canyon. For an off-the-beaten path hike, be sure to check out Franklin Canyon in Beverly Hills.
Beverage of Choice
A recent coffee adopter, I still wonder what took me so long! I drink it black and hot.
Wanderlusting
Adventure always calls and can’t wait for more passport stamps! A few of my favorite destinations include Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the northern beaches of Peru, and the Swiss Alps. As for my bucket-list locales, it’s a rather long one, but I am keeping a close eye on the Maldives, Colombia, and Japan.
What a fantastic photo. Lookin’ good girl!
