RyzenbergOn Prada — I can’t say I didn’t see this one coming, because I’ve been mad for Miuccia (er, I mean Midas) because with this collection she’s indeed turned everything to gold. But the combination of bold colors, effervescent prints and the aesthetically perfectly structured garments on the collection really made it stand out from the pack.
Fashion’s own goddess Anna Wintour and celebs worldwide graced dozens of fashion magazine covers this past Fall and Winter decked in Prada. (Everyone’s favorite editrix-in-chief wore it for a WSJ story in March — a fun pun??? I say so. And Ms. Wintour was nonetheless photographed by another feisty Peruvian: Mario Testino. Girl-next-door and not-so Mean Girl Amanda Seyfried was lucky to wear it on more than one occassion for UK Marie Claire and American Elle, and Mrs. Tom Brady herself brought some samba out for the February 2011 issue of Vogue China)
And speaking of the Far East, Prada recently filed for an IPO in Hong Kong. The Milan-based fashion powerhouse is one of latest luxury brands to offer public shares, so it leaves one thinking — memorable collection = amazing investment? I think so, and with collections like this stock prices can skyrocket while cash registers sing ca-ching ca-ching!!!! Bellisimo and indeed there is no monkey business going on here!
Want to know what’s de dolciest of it all….I happen to own one of the shoes from this collection and indeed it will make me strut proud while knowing that I too, own a piece of this unforgettable line (no worries, pictures of my shoes are coming up prontisimo!)
Ciao bella because RyzenbergOn is signing off!
