As you all very well know, the man friend Charlie and I love a good weekend adventure. A few months ago, we headed to the Antelope Valley in search of poppy fields, as they normally bloom in the late spring, but upon arrival we were told they had peaked just weeks before. It was a major fail as neither of us had done the proper research (and of course, a big lesson learned).
As we drove around the beautiful area, we were surrounded by lush fields full of tall grass and I of course, saw a beautiful photo opp. Although it wasn’t my original vision, sometimes nature has a plan b and quite frankly, that’s the beauty of it. Despite the fact that this year’s El Niño didn’t manifest like expected, we saw lots of green on our drive, which turned out to be divine.
